Weekly archery camp covers various types of shooting.
Shoot in the field archery roving range,
Try bare bow with no sites & learn basic techniques.
Tune up existing form if JOAD
Advanced archers/JOAD will be focusing on: Tuning up NTS form, various techniques including breathing,
timing, preparation, finger & string position, getting into "the moment" of the shot,
equipment reviews, Quadrant Training, and why brace height is important
About:
Olympic style Recurve , or Bare-bow/Longbow only. All equipment supplied.
Archery Camp; all ages 10 and up- rising 5th grader
Concentrated course covering basics, and suitable for those who have never shot a bow,
or those with some previous experience.
Class covers: Eye Dominance, Archery safety rules, Warm-up exercises, Archery tackle sized to Archer (all equipment supplied and taught using recurve equipment), Proper shooting techniques -"Basic Steps",
Grouping & consistency, scoring.
The focus is on "What happens at the shooting line, controls what happens at the target"
If focus and form are correct, the gold will follow.
What to Bring:
Snacks
Floppy Hat
Sunscreen
WATER
and anything else you feel is necessary.
All safety gear and equipment will be provided.
(Bow, arrows, finger tab, arm guard, quiver)
Wear Light colored clothing
